Tailored strategies & creative storytelling make ideas matter.
I help organizations implement communications that turn ideas into impact. Together, we reach and engage audiences where they are.
Sometimes we collaborate for years, sometimes it’s a 72-hour venture. The variety in scope and scale keeps the work sharp. These projects can also lead to relationships with other vendors as well as clients; connections that often develop into new opportunities.
I branded my company Colby Elise Creative, rather than incorporating a nod to a specific niche, to avoid limiting services or skills to just one area. While there is a great deal of overlap between content creation and communications, both evolve at rapid speed. I’m positioned at the crossroads of that innovation and potential.
I love to write, create, and share those efforts with others. Let’s get to it.

Work From Anywhere
I’ve worked from or created in 17 states to date.
The flexibility and agile nature of remote work allows me to connect with colleagues and clients throughout the U.S. This often involves working with teams in multiple time zones, which both adds different viewpoints and an additional level of coordination to ensure workflows keep moving smoothly.
A favorite part of remote work is finally meeting people in person after exchanging emails and memes for months (or years).

My 9 to 5 hours are typically dedicated to long-term contracts. This work is carried out in a more traditional, corporate environment with clients in public health, finance, education, the nonprofit sector and other industries. My 5 to 9 projects are more creative in nature and span branding, tourism, crafts, travel and other outlets.

Both. I love to collaborate with an established team on a weekly basis, as well as other partners and vendors who support the work.
The majority of my freelance experience has been solo to date. I enjoy owning the creative process across all phases, from planning through execution. However, some projects have included working alongside other small business owners, and that’s led to great friendships as well as professional connections!

While the overviews and examples above provide an initial look at my areas of expertise, I am always upskilling. I am available and happy to complete projects that are as straightforward as creating a single Reel in addition to those that require years of extensive or in-house support. An initial discovery call helps me understand the services you’re looking for, how they align with my capabilities and capacity, and how to best support your needs.
